Booked a day trip to Hoa Lu and Tam Coc through our hotel. Well organized tour. The van ride was comfortable and they provide free wifi. Lunch was served buffet style in a local restaurant with a good selection of local entrees. Our tour guide Nick was very friendly and entertaining. Thumbs up!
Extremely pleased with our tour guide, Nick. He shared lots of information about Vietnam while en route to Hoa Lu and Tam Coc. Our mini bus was super comfortable, AC is working just fine (perfect to beat the scorching heat outside). Lunch was amazing! Didn't expect it to be buffet style. Check the weather forecast as it is still super hot this time. Prepare liters of drinking water
We very much enjoyed this day trip and would certainly recommend it and our guide Hieu (Nick) to anyone staying in Hanoi. We chose this trip on the recommendation of our hotel as an alternative (less crowded) to visiting perfume pagoda. Go Asia travel and our guide Hieu came as an unexpected pleasant surprise! Our guide kept us entertained during the bus ride with a humorous approach to teaching us Vietnamese basic language skills and a very interesting summary of Vietnamese history pickled with snippets of facts about modern Vietnamese life. The bus was a typical Vietnamese size (narrow seats) and the road was a little bumpy in places but our driver was excellent and our guide kept everyone suitably distracted during the ride. The visit to the temple, the boat ride on the river past working rice fields and the mountains followed by the cycle ride in the countryside were indescribably beautiful - and it felt like a in-land version of Ha Long Bay! Lunch was good (clearly the best the town had to offer). Thanks to our guide the whole trip felt very relaxed and well organized and his local knowledge was evident. All in all a great experience.
We had a fun and relaxing day at Hoa Lu-Tam Coc. The itinerary was good and included a combination of easy sightseeing, boat riding along a beautiful, easy bike riding in a small country town and across rural scenery. The overall pickup and delivery service from and to the hotel was also punctual and easy going. Very satisfied with the service
We took a day tour to Hoa Lu - Tam Coc. It was a very pleasant trip, a little long road, but it was worth it. Sunny (our guide) was very funny and kind, trying to make our trip and tour a very pleasant one. The place was incredible, with great landscapes, it looked like a mini-Halong Bay. I'd recommend it 100% if you visit Vietnam. The transportation, drinking water, lunch and boat were included in the price.
