Cửa Hàng Ăn Uống Mậu Dịch Số 37 is a restaurant that is re-modeled and designed just like the food/grocery store during subsidy period in Vietnam. During that time, goods are distributed according to the state stamp mode. The goods were not allowed to freely trade in the market, or from local to local and money exchange was very limited. So in order to get food in Cửa Hàng Ăn Uống Mậu Dịch Số 37, you have to pay for the stamp before you can have the food.Located in a pretty unknown street in West Lake area, Cửa Hàng Ăn Uống Mậu Dịch Số 37 is a small building with fun decoration that gives you the wow effect. From the banner to the bike hanging up high, this restaurant makes the customers becoming curious.
The establishment depicts the Vietnam war way of living & true to its theme, you need to buy coupons first before you can order any food. They serve dishes that people eat during war. The decor's nice.
Old styled (or countryside) Vietnamese food. They make me miss my childhood a lot. I love "đậu phụ tẩm hành", "pumpkin", "cơm cháy", "cá bống" and "nem rán" :)
Very good Vietnamese food in a historically themed environment. Lots of interesting photos and paraphernalia from the war era.
One of the very few restaurants that take credit cards
Tries to be communist themed, but very average traditional Vietnamese food, and almost all the decor is cheap modern replicas.
Quán đẹp, phục vụ như thời bao cấp, rất thú vị, đồ ăn ngon!
Ăn kiểu bao cấp. Cũng được.
