This fabulous collection relating to Vietnam’s ethnic minorities features well-presented tribal art, artefacts and everyday objects gathered from across the nation, and examples of traditional village houses. Displays are well labelled in Vietnamese, French and English. If you’re into anthropology, it’s well worth the approximately 200,000d each-way taxi fares to the Cau Giay district, about 7km from the city centre, where the museum is located.
Local bus 14 (4000d) departs from P Dinh Tien Hoang on the east side of Hoan Kiem Lake and passes within a couple of blocks (around 600m) of the museum – get off at the Nghia Tan bus stop and head to Ð Nguyen Van Huyen.
Really interesting museum about the ethnic groups in Vietnam that you rarely (if ever) hear about. Learned a lot here! Worth a visit if you're in the area. Entrance fee is 20,000 dong per person.
Very interesting museum where you can easily spent a whole afternoon. We went there during the last Tet weekend where they had a great extra program. Defo worth a visit!

It's one of those things which you simply must see when you're in Hanoi. It's very well curated and the exhibitions on the outside are lovely to see.
Nice museum. The backyard is really good, you can visit the real houses. But the explanation inside are a little bit poor, no date.
Very well documented museum about the different inhabitants of Vietnam. Go here to learn before going to the north! Worth the visit!!

Very interesting museum where you can see actual traditional houses from all the different tribes in Vietnam.
