One of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam, Tran Quoc Pagoda is on the eastern shore of Ho Tay, just off Ð Thanh Nien, which divides this lake from Truc Bach Lake. A stela here, dating from 1639, tells the history of this site. The pagoda was rebuilt in the 15th century and again in 1842.
Nothing much to do inside but really just get a lot of photos of the temple. The best view probably is the one at the entrance, with the tower reflecting on the lake. Bring a jacket..it's really cold!
La Pagoda más antigua de Hanoi construída siguiendo los diseños budistas, y tiene tantos niveles como estados budistas, es decir once, por eso la torre hexagonal tiene once pisos
This pagoda is sooo beautiful! I suppose to think in the evening it's calmer in there although during the day could be overcrowded.
actually this is the oldest pagoda in town. probably built in the Le dynasty,@ 5th century.
Nice pagoda. Scenic views on West Lake
No shorts allowed. Wear long pants or a skirt.
Nicest looking pagoda in the city. Terrible translation signs btw.
Many pagodas. Very Chinese.
Its OK I guess. But I wouldn't make a special trip unless I had time to waste.
WC ở đây không...thanh tịnh 1 chút nào hic (WC's very awful)
