  • Cruise Name: Jasmine Cruise
  • Type: Deluxe Cruise
  • Locations: Halong Bay, Quang Ninh, Vietnam
  • Duration: 2 days 1 night or 3 days 2 nights
  • Departure: Daily depart from Hanoi Old Quarter
  • Review: 9.0 /10 - Superb (Based on 4 reviews)

With 24 cabins, the Jasmine is built in the style of a traditional Vietnamese junk, with three tawny sails and dark wood-cladding. The interiors, like the exterior, are covered in polished wood, lending the Jasmine the stately air of an Indochine-era cruising boat.

Guests can convene in the formal dining room, enjoy casual barbecues on the terrace and marvel at the bay’s moonlit beauty on the Jasmine’s wide sundeck. After days spent learning tai chi, kayaking, and visiting local fishing villages, visitors can enjoy various traditional massage treatments. Heritage Line prides itself on exceptional service and the Jasmine is no exception. The Jasmine’s experienced crew does their utmost to showcase the bay’s indescribable wonders.

Enjoy the intimacy of a small party within the space of Halong Bay’s largest cruise junk. A lengthy 55 meters from bow to stern and measuring an impressive 11 meters wide, Jasmine Cruise Halong can accommodate 80 passengers at any o¬ne time across four luxurious decks, with an overnight capacity of 48. The attention to detail and quality of design is apparent in every inch of this newly-built junk, artfully marrying space, rich 1930s Indochina-style wooden décor and exquisite ornamentation throughout its air-conditioned bedrooms, restaurant, bars and communal spaces.

Whether you want to throw a party o¬n the sundeck, enjoy an intimate candle-lit dinner in the jasmine restaurant, or just find a quiet nook or cranny to relax and unwind, Jasmine Cruise Halong is the perfect way to enjoy the bay.

We went on the 3 day, 2 night cruise on Jasmine. We had never been on any kind of cruise before, so didn't really know what to expect. This was, from start to finish, an amazing experience. The entire staff were brilliant. They were all helpful, friendly and happy, ensuring you knew what was going on at all times. They were not at all intrusive, but always there if you needed them. The food was superb and more than enough to fill the hungriest of people. A large proportion of the food was seafood, but they catered for those who didn't like seafood with alternatives. They provided plenty of complimentary drinking water and tea and coffee. All other drinks are extra, but there was a very well stocked bar with plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. If you choose to partake in all of the activities, there was more than enough to keep you entertained throughout with the occasional hour of quiet time. This included early morning Tai Chi, kayaking, caves, cycling, swimming, Cat Ba island visit, (floating) Fishing village visit and of course the stunning scenery of Halong Bay itself. It wasn't the best of weather when we went with misty mornings and evenings and a bit of rain, but that didn't detract at all, in fact, the mist made it all slightly more mysterious. The boat itself was beautifully fitted out with a lovely dining area and very nice cabins. I would definitely recommend the 2 night option if you can afford it and have the time. It was a shame it all had to end!

Boat trip was fantastic. Staff were amazing. Excursions were brilliant. Very safe, very organised and would do it again for longer if possible! We had our 2 kids (8&6) with us and the staff were very helpful with them too. Highly recommended!
